Allergen Guidence
The food standards agency has issued to food producers a comprehensive list of 14 allergens that may cause an allergic reaction when consumed. I have listed below the allergens that are present in the ingredients used.
Gluten – This is in the plain flour used for all baking.
Tree Nuts – I use various tree nuts which include ground almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecan nuts, and pistachios.
Peanuts - Certain flavours contain peanut butter, which is made from peanuts.
Eggs – These are used in all baked cakes.
Milk – I use butter, buttermilk, cream, whole/semi-skimmed milk, and cream cheese, all of which contain milk.
Soya – This is contained in the chocolate we use.
Sulphur Dioxide – This allergen is contained within alcohol and is used as a preservative in dried fruits.
Please be aware that all baked goods are baked and prepared in a kitchen that also handles all the main allergens including CELERY, MUSTARD, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, MOLLUSCS, LUPIN, PEANUTS, SESAME, NUTS, CEREALS CONTAINING GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG and SOYA.
I take all the necessary steps to ensure cross-contamination doesn’t happen, however, there is always a risk that any baked goods could have come into contact with any of the listed allergens. We understand the dangers to customers with severe allergies, therefore unfortunately we cannot guarantee allergen-free foods.
Please make me aware of any allergens when ordering. It is also the responsibility of whoever purchases any items to inform any consumers of allergens this item may contain.
